Charity: Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Almost a billion people don’t have access to clean drinking water. Charity: Water has helped more than two million get clean water.

So far, 28 apps for the Mac and 25 for the iPhone and iPad have joined the cause.

Some of the apps have free versions that you can try out to see if you want the full version.

SousChef, for instance, is a recipe organizer that comes with over 200,000 recipes. You can also add your own. Right now, they have a free SousChef Noel with holiday recipes.

If you’ve been considering any of these apps, today is a good day to buy them.
