Dr. Eakin is Coordinator of NOAA&#8217;s Coral Reef Watch, which focuses on the monitoring of coral reef ecosystems through satellite, in situ, and paleoenvironmental observations. John Bruno is a marine ecologist and associate professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Science magazine sponsors a chat with experts every Thursday, but the Live Chats aren&#8217;t like a chatroom. It&#8217;s more of an opportunity to hear (or watch, in this case) what the experts have to say.
