Hurricane Isaac made landfall in Louisiana on Tuesday. Many have made comparisons between Isaac and Katrina, the storm that drowned New Orleans. While Isaac is bad, it isn’t as bad as Katrina.
Part of the reason for that is the new levees and pumps made to withstand the storm surge and excess rain that comes with a hurricane.
