Maldives Still Sinking – An Interview with Former President Mohamed Nasheed

Maldives bungalowThe Maldives aren’t sinking, of course.  Sea level is rising, and since the highest point in the Maldives is 1.5 meters above sea level, the people who live there are quickly running out of land.

The former president of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed, was interviewed by Jon Stewart this week.  In this unedited interview, the two talk about the problems of the Maldives, how those problems really highlight global warming, and a bit about politics.
